Terms of use
Version [version]. When these terms change, we ask you to read and accept them again before you continue.
1. Who we are
Dua Parivaar is a private family companion operated by [legal entity name], [registered address], India ("Dua", "we").
2. Who may use Parivaar
- Parents and legal guardians aged 18 or over, invited and approved by Dua after an identity check.
- Children aged 5 to 17 are included only by a parent or guardian who gives verifiable consent on their behalf, as Indian law requires.
- People a parent invites to the Family Circle (grandparents, relatives, family friends, teachers, coaches), who accept their own invitation.
3. What you agree to
- To give true information, including that you are the child's parent or legal guardian.
- To add information about other people only where you are entitled to, keeping it to what is needed (for example, a child's friend by first name only).
- Not to use Parivaar to harm, track, monitor or embarrass any child, or anyone else.
- To keep your email account secure, because sign-in codes are sent there.
4. Your content stays yours
Everything your family keeps in Parivaar belongs to your family, and a child's own words, drawings and letters belong to the child. You give Dua only the permission needed to store and show your content to the people you choose. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI.
5. Sealed letters
A letter sealed for a child's 18th birthday cannot be read, changed or deleted by anyone before then, including you and Dua. It is encrypted, and Dua staff cannot read it.
6. The Family Circle
Circle members see only what a parent shares with them, and nothing they send becomes part of a child's story until a parent approves it. A parent can remove a member at any time.
7. Not medical, legal or psychological advice
Parivaar keeps a family's own records. It does not diagnose, assess or treat anyone, and nothing in it replaces a doctor, psychologist, lawyer or teacher.
8. Safety
If we learn that a child may be at serious risk, the law may require us to tell the authorities, for example under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. We will do so where required.
9. Ending your use
You can download everything and erase your family at any time from the Privacy page. Where two parents are verified, both must agree to erase, unless a court orders otherwise. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
10. Our responsibility
[Limitation of liability, to be written by the Advocate.]
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts at [city]. You may also contact our Grievance Officer (see the privacy notice).
